Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Kos Holdings LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates CalcMountain. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website and services.
Information We Collect
Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store plain-text passwords.
Usage analytics. We collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited, calculator interactions, browser type, device type, and referring URLs. This data helps us improve the site and understand which tools are most useful.
Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details on our servers. We may receive limited billing information (such as the last four digits of your card and billing address) from Stripe for record-keeping.
Cookies
We use cookies for authentication sessions and analytics. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors and track site usage in aggregate. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality such as staying logged in.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymous site usage analytics
- Stripe — payment processing for paid plans
- Resend — transactional email delivery (account verification, password resets)
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data. We encourage you to review their policies.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and secure infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to following industry best practices.
Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Upon receiving your request, we will delete your account and personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or financial record-keeping).
Children's Privacy
CalcMountain is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
