These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CalcMountain, operated by Kos Holdings LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using CalcMountain you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Description of Service

CalcMountain provides free online calculators covering finance, health, math, science, and everyday topics. We also offer a paid embeddable calculator service that allows businesses and content creators to add our calculators to their own websites.

Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and promptly update it if anything changes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Payment Terms

Paid plans (such as the embed service) are billed through Stripe. Prices, billing cycles, and plan details are described on our pricing page. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Your continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

Intellectual Property

All content, code, design, and branding on CalcMountain are owned by Kos Holdings LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the service without our written permission. Embed customers receive a limited license to display our calculators on their sites as described in their plan.

Disclaimer

Calculators on CalcMountain are provided for informational and educational purposes only. Results should not be considered professional financial, medical, legal, or engineering advice. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that results are error-free. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions based on calculator outputs.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kos Holdings LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Termination

You may stop using CalcMountain at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for any other reason at our discretion with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limitations) will remain in effect.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oregon.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of CalcMountain after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users via email.
